When installed in FortiGate® or FortiCarrier™ consolidated security appliances, Fortinet Storage Modules (FSM) provide local storage facilities for security and system events. In addition, they can enable the WAN optimization to accelerate applications commonly affected by slower network connections, and local web caching. The Fortinet ASM-S08 module is a single-width Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) form factor option, featuring an 80 GB commercial-grade hard disk drive (HDD). The single-width Fortinet FSM-064 module is features a 64 GB Solid State Drive (SSD).
