Dec 10, 2008	Fortinet Completes U.S. Federal Government Certification for IPv6-Capable Firewall Fortinet today announced that the Fortinet FortiGate^® family of multi-threat security appliances has successfully completed IPv6 interoperability certification and is now approved for listing on the U.S. federal government's Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (APL). As part of the Department of Defense (DoD) IPv6 Generic Test Plan Version 3, this certification is based on testing conducted by the federal government's Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). In addition, Fortinet's Letter of Conformance, dated August 13, 2008, validates that the FortiGate operating system -- FortiOS™ -- provides the critical base support for IPv6. As a result, the FortiGate product line is now certified as an IPv6-capable firewall, which enables federal government customers to deploy FortiGate security products while ensuring that government requirements in this regard are met.
